German: Schöne Frühlingsferien!

Liebe Eltern,

In the last few weeks, we have been busy asking for information about our friends. We have been investigating different questions like “Woher kommst du?” (where are you from?), “wie heisst du?” (what’s your name?), “was ist dein Lieblingsfach, dein Lieblingsessen, dein Lieblingssport?” (What is your favourite subject, favourite food, favourite sport?).

Within this unit we also we have deepened our knowledge on the topic of adjectives and possessive pronouns (sein/seine, ihr/ihre, euer/eure, unser/unsere) to be able to describe ourselves and others better.

In the cohort class, we work with different types of texts. At the moment we are looking at “Elfchen” and the children have even written their own spring poem. If you’re curious what exactly an “Elfchen” is, why don’t you ask your child?

Das Deutsch-Team wünscht allen Schülern und Eltern schöne Frühlingssferien.

This Thursday… 6-7:30 PM… Sharing our Learning!

Dear Parents,

This Thursday the 11th of April will be our sharing of learning evening.  The students have worked hard to learn and understand the Sustainable Development Goals and now they are looking forward to sharing this with you.

The evening will start promptly at 18:00 in your child’s classroom, and we will be finished around 19:30. The students are asked to dress ‘smartly’ for the evening. In other words – no shorts, track pants, strappy tops, very short skirts or t-shirts please.  There will be no refreshments served, so could you please ensure your child has eaten before the event. Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Warmly,

Grade 5 Team
